WELCOME TO A SHITTY JAMJAR-ESQUE PSL STARTER
Good morning! Have a shrill alarm followed by an almost robotic voice on repeat. "If you have seen the pilot of Omega Res Novae..." "Security Breach. Please enter the administrator passcode at a designated command terminal." is the bland phrase that is being repeated at 60 second intervals.
Sure, you're probably confused. After all, you've somehow been deposited in a sterile metal room, in an (albeit comfortable) completely plain bunk. But, there's little time to get your bearings. That alarm will probably drive you insane before long, and it isn't likely that you'll stop it on your own. It should compel you toward the door, which opens automatically into a metal hallway. On one side there are numbered doors identical to the one you've just exited. On the other? Windows! Because some benevolent creator wanted to let you immediately see that you are stuck on an archaic space station.
There is a metal ring (where you currently are), surrounding a clear dome that is accessible by two large corridors. There seems to be greenery inside of the dome. Not, that it matters, since those access points seem kind of far.
On the bright side though, there is a hangar somewhere along the ring! And it has one of those handy command terminals right outside of it too.

Will you investigate the console or ragpile? y/n? ]
OMG Emeralda
[[ooc: let me know if you want me to change anything]]
THEY'RE GONNA BE BEST FRIENDS maybe haha
The rag pile, on the other hand, does nothing while the text is being translated. But once it's finished, the small child inside them stirs and pulls her reforming arm out of a crack in the console. Her arm is still silver for a moment before it fully takes shape and a more natural skin color fades into it.
She stands upright and begins to sway back and forth, staring at 623. ]

Margulis | Airlocked CRAU
The pressure that that infernal alarm isn't helping with. Satisfied that this probably isn't the Benefactors' fault, he stands up from the bed he woke in and stalks out the door, brushing his loose hair back from his face as he does so. His first priority, of course, is looking to see if there's anyone else here, familiar or not. If this is another murder experiment, he'll need to know his potential allies and threats. If not...he still needs to know if he's stuck here alone. And maybe someone else here has half a clue of where they are...
:D I'll dump AU pellegri on this margulis good luck
"Margulis?!"
As luck would have it, the force that brought her to this station neglected to scoop up any of her weapons along the way. Having a glaive in hand would be a comfort, but ethers work too. She raises a hand, silently threatening to discharge one at him if he gives her even the tiniest reason.
"Is this your doing?!" She ends up yelling over the next wave of security warnings.
And he's the one least likely to figure out AU shenanigans quickly...
"What makes you think I have any hand in this situation? Even if I knew what this place was, I've no reason to turn upon you, nor any of our people save for one."

Margulis | Alternately, multi-CRAU!
The first thing he checks when he sits up is if Reuben is still there. It's not, but Amavasya and his blade from Prospero still hang in their usual positions at his sides...along with the various throwing knives he kept hidden in various places under his silk longcoat from the past of Exsilium. It'll do, especially with Paschar's presence still tangible in the back of his mind. That established, he heads for the door, looking for a source of that droning alarm as his ears alternate between perking forward in caution and flicking back in annoyance. It just figures that none of these dimensional transitions can be simple...

..How successful he was was up in the air, however. At the very least, he tried not to let any of his incredulity slip into his voice.
"I hadn't expected to see you here, Margulis. But what happened to you? I don't recall you having horse ears and a unicorn horn the last time I saw you. Did the people here force them on you for some reason?"
no subject
"No, it's a side effect of where I was before I arrived here. You might find the imagery amusing, but the horn has its uses."

Shion | but the canon point you get will be a surprise! won't that be fun
...Sort of.
Shion is actually on the floor of the hallway with the front panel of a console torn off and wires everywhere. Thankfully, she woke up with her connection gear in hand, and now it's just a matter of time before she can use it to hack into the console and get some answers.
It might be a long wait though, as the technology of the station isn't exactly compatible with her own. so there she is, letting out a frustrated growl at the noise from overhead as she attempts to learn this foreign circuitry and wiring. ]

Oh...you're stuck here too?
no subject
[ Of course she wasn't paying any attention until he spoke, not with a frustrating puzzle in front of her. But now that it's not just her alone with her thoughts, she can break herself away. ]
Now that you're here this will be a sn--
[ The rest of the word catches in her throat when she sees him like that. Really, after all she's put him through, should she be asking him for more? She frees herself from her nest of wires, and stands to face him, taking his hand gently. ]
I'm sorry, Allen. I... I'm just happy that you're here. But you should rest. I can figure this out.

Either way though, he approached her with a relieved look on his face, happy to see a friendly, familiar face here, regardless of what the circumstances were. Even if that joy didn't mean he was happy about the present situation.]
Shion! I'm glad to see you here. Do you need any help? I don't exactly know how these consoles are wired, but it should go faster with two people.

chaos! I'm glad to see you too. The faster we get off of... whatever this is and back to repairing KOS-MOS, the better.
[ She shifts over to give him room in front of the console. ]
Take this, [ She thrusts the connection gear at him, careful not to jostle the crazy wiring she's done to it too much. ] let me know if anything happens on the screen, okay? If I'm right about these, it should bypass the security and remotely control the doors.

it will be so fun let me tell you, and on a related note, SURPRISE
Of all people. Really.
And already the walls have started coming back up, strong and stubborn as ever after he'd torn them down so savagely at Zarathustra's collapsing doorstep. His steps are nearly silent underneath the irritating klaxon as he approaches, pondering all the while how he ought to announce his presence. Not just in the room, after all, but in... well, life. If this is life at all.
As eschatologies go, this is not a particularly splendid interpretation of the world to come. Somehow he's got the feeling that this wasn't exactly what chaos had in mind.
For lack of a better plan Jin just clears his throat, already resolved to give her the most incredible scolding if he finds out she died too. ]
SURPRISE is super effective
That intrusive little cough that she'd heard countless times before. It had been employed to indicate that Jin disagreed with her, or to pull her away from whatever she was doing for some kind of lecture. It always aggravated her to the point of falling back on childish bickering. She never thought she'd hear it again.
But there it is. So she knows, even without laying eyes on him, that he's standing right there. That infuriating nonchalant expression will be plastered on his face, and he'll be alive again.
She can't actually face him though. There's a sea of things she still hasn't said, and it's impossible actually grasp the words that flowed through her mind as she watched him sink away into Michtam.
The one thing she can manage, however, should at least put his worries to rest. ]
You're alive?
chaos | CRAU if you want it, and if not, assume he's from the end of the first game!
Given that the situation was already dire and that there were precious few-if any-people that could kidnap him and move him to point a to point b without his knowledge, he quickly rushed out of the room, ignoring his muscles as they protested the sudden movement, wanting a good after-sleep stretch, and started searching the rooms down the hallway, once he saw exactly what lay beyond the door, looking for both the command terminal and the password he'd need to implement it, along with answers as to what was going on here.

She didn't remove her hands from her ears but she looked to him quickly, eyes wide and full of relief as her lips formed his true name.
no subject
Even though, wonderful though it was, she shouldn't be alive. Her corpse was still in Rennes-le-Château, and what remained of her seemed to have been split between Nephilim and KOS-MOS, who had her own artificial intelligence running at the same time. Unless someone had managed to pluck Mary from the past, before they failed, and place her here for some reason, he shouldn't be seeing her.
Whether this was an illusion or not was difficult to tell. But chaos did know that..a feat like going through time and pulling someone like Mary from one point to the next was something even Wilhelm couldn't do. Or, at the very least, he couldn't do so without going against his own goals.
But, illusion or not, she was here, and it looked like she needed help just as much as he needed some answers. So, he did his best to force himself to snap out of it and, still feeling like he was in a dream, gave his beloved an aching, bittersweet smile as he slowly walked towards her, squatted in front of her, and tried to hold her hands as they squeezed her ears.
"Mary..it's..it's going to be alright, I think. It's loud and annoying, but it's just an alarm. If we keep going together, we may find the password that can shut it off. But..how..how are you still alive? How have you come back to us, my dear?"

Allen | Testament AU
Those in the hallways likely won't hear his footsteps over the security alarm as he ghosts through the station, hood and mask in place and senses on alert. He doesn't bother with any of the doors, he can already sense if anyone's behind them or not, but he does make his way around the ring. Maybe, he hopes, he can at least find some way to make that repetitive message stop.
The garbage m-er, Jin | roleswap AU
Unlike most in this situation, Jin doesn't immediately take to the hallways to look for the source of the alarm or a way out. Instead he establishes that his door is unlocked, notes the lack of hiding places outside, and waits, listening. When he hears footsteps outside the door, he opens it and steps outside, hand on the hilt of his sword and cold eyes fixed in front of him. He doesn't even pause to register who he's looking at before he speaks.
"I'm afraid wherever you were headed is going to have to wait. Tell me how I got here."
He looks like Jin, sounds like Jin...but anyone not from his version of events will find his clothing slightly off. Maybe not in suitability of design, but an alert eye will notice odd bits of symbology normally associated with Ormus or U-TIC.
attempting a phone tag
He was taller than her and the hand on his sword was concerning, it was all enough that Mary took an instinctive step back, blue eyes wide. This was not someone to challenge. Not that she was the type to. It made her miss Yeshua.
"I beg your pardon?" Her voice shook. "I wouldn't know. I only just woke myself."
The alarm was starting to make her head ache.
Prepare for a very confused Jin!
"Ah, forgive my hostility. I wasn't expecting to encounter a fellow captive."
SORRY JIN?
He deserves it, how much he enjoys being vague!
this is Mary though, he's constantly feeling guilty for confusing or messing with someone
And yet, she likes Yeshua
most of her guilt is focused on him and shion tbh
JUST V1 KOS-MOS for now, as I work my way through the games
This station wasn't familiar, and records of stations this old were few and far between. And never anything KOS-MOS had needed added to her database. That isn't going to stop her from trying to find the appropriate command console to put a stop to the incessant alarm and, hopefully, find some answers as to where this is, how she got here, and who was responsible for the station in general.]
and a V4 Shion to be confused about it
KOS-MOS!
[ She rushes ahead to catch up. If it turns out there's any hostile persons or things around... wherever this is, her best bet is teaming up with KOS-MOS. ]
that'll be the fun one!
8D just keeps adding to the confusion
